Páirc Festival is pleased to announce Tourism Ireland will be supporting Páirc Festival this Bank Holiday Weekend to deliver to you a world class celebration of Irish music and culture!
Tourism Ireland is responsible for marketing the island of Ireland overseas as a leading holiday destination.
Established as one of the ‘six areas of co-operation’ under the framework of the Belfast Agreement of Good Friday 1998. Their remit is to increase tourism to the island of Ireland and to support Northern Ireland to realise its tourism potential.
Tourism Ireland operate under the auspices of the North/South Ministerial Council through the Department for the Economy in Northern Ireland and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in Ireland.
They work closely with the two tourist boards on the island, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism NI, and with their partners in the tourism industry at home and abroad in delivering their services. Tourism Ireland delivers world-class marketing programmes in over 21 markets across the world, including London, as well as centrally in Dublin and Coleraine.
Tourism Ireland are currently promoting their Press the Green Button campaign to drive overseas visitors to Ireland.
The global campaign was developed to re-start tourism and encourage as many overseas visitors as possible to book the island of Ireland for their next short break or holiday.
The campaign is reaching millions of people in 12 markets: Great Britain, the United States, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Nordic countries, Switzerland, Canada and the UAE.
The campaign delivers a very clear ‘book now’ message and aims to single-mindedly drive visitor numbers and intention to book a trip to Ireland.
The concept revolves around creating a commitment to travel, by ‘pressing the Green Button’ – green being the universal colour of ‘go’ and instinctively connected with the island of Ireland. It dials up our strengths and iconic locations, including the Cliffs of Moher, Titanic Belfast, the Giant’s Causeway, the Ha’penny Bridge, Lough Tay and Trinity College.
The Green Button campaign and lots of great offers are also highlighted on Tourism Ireland’s international website, Ireland.com.
Judith Cassidy, Tourism Ireland’s Deputy Head of Great Britain, said:
“Tourism Ireland is delighted to support Páirc Festival, the event will showcase the Island of Ireland’s vibrant music and culture offering to audiences in Birmingham, highlighting Ireland’s rich cultural heritage as one of the many reasons prospective GB visitors should consider the destination for their next short break or holiday”.
