Imelda May

Imelda May plays Páirc Festival on Saturday 27th August, taking place on the grounds of The New Irish Centre, Birmingham.

We are thrilled to announce our Saturday headliner, the rock’n’roll queen Imelda May! The biggest celebration of UK music and culture in the UK just got bigger!

Imelda May will headline Páirc Festival on Saturday 27th August. She will be joining a Saturday line up that includes Hothouse Flowers, Beoga, Damien Dempsey, Hermitage Green, The Father Teds and Lampa.

Imelda is a Dublin-born singer, songwriter, poet and producer, who always dives into her true-self and Irish roots. She exploded onto the scene in 2008, with her debut album becoming the best-selling album in history for a homegrown Irish female artist! Since then, she has collaborated with U2 and Van Morrison, and has famously appeared on “Later…With Jools Holland”. Although most noted for her rock’n’roll sound, she is a lover of all genres, notably taking inspiration from the Dublin jazz and blues clubs she first performed in.

We can’t wait for her to light up the stage at Páirc Festival’s huge Birmingham Irish festival – check out the full-line up here.
