Páirc Festival is incredibly excited to announce that Bob Geldof is the Sunday headliner of our summer Irish Music Festival!

Irish icon Bob Geldof joins the Páirc Festival 2024 lineup, taking place over the August Bank Holiday weekend in the New Irish Centre in Kings Heath, Birmingham.

Bob Geldof is a true national treasure and one the biggest stars out of Ireland. Beginning his music career with The Boomtown Rats, who produced the number one songs and instant classics I Don’t Like Mondays, Like Clockwork, Rat Trap and Banana Republic.

Geldof then launched his successful solo career, releasing hits like This Is The World Calling and The Great Song of Indifference as well as going beyond music with his bestselling book Is that it?. Most notably Geldof was the co-founder of Band Aid, not only creating the best selling single of the 80s but also organising one of the most iconic live concerts in history.

Páirc 2024 is the biggest celebration of Irish music and culture and alongside our incredible lineup there will be street food, market stalls, outdoor bars and MORE coming to Birmingham over the August Bank Holiday Weekend!

Bob Geldof headlines Páirc Festival 2024 on Sunday 25th August, showcasing the talent that has earned him countless awards and honours, including the BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
